It’s important to realize that going to college is part of a much larger picture of your student’s life. We’ll help your student discover their desired career, and then we will create a detailed, step-by-step plan to help lead them down that career path.

Pick a career

Statistics show that most students change their major at least once in college. Doing so can waste time and money. We take the time up front to identify what it is that the student truly wants to do and what careers fit him or her best, in order to help reduce the costs associated with multiple changes in majors.

Some students already know what career they want while others can benefit from some help deciding what fits him or her best. We suggest that all of our students go through our career assessment process. This assessment is a great way to identify skills, personality, values, extracurricular interests and educational preferences. Many students enjoy this process and often are surprised to discover new strengths and interests.

Pick a School/Major

Once we have a career direction for the student, we’ll look at the schools and majors that will offer the best fit and opportunities for growth and success.
Factors to consider include:

  • The school’s reputation in that career field
  • Affordability after financial aid is obtained
  • Size and geographic location
  • Extracurricular opportunities
  • Other factors based on the student’s desires, interests and goals

We’ll provide you with detailed information about a large number of schools, and tips and guidance for contacting each. Our experience in this area allows us to know which schools to approach and, in many cases, identify more school options than you would have been able to research in your own limited amount of time.

But, before we pick a school, we first have to apply and then compare offers.
